Wednesday. We got up early-ish to pack the car and make an early start. It took a while before we found the tent poles, but around lunch time we were on our way.
When we made a short stop at ”Bengt i Örkeljunga” to buy a connector for our gas stove we got a call that Oskar had fallen off his trial bike and was on the way to hospital. Luckily the damage was not permanent (maybe to his ego).
On the way to the first camping we made a short stop in Älmhult to check out the market, but we were not impressed.
Around half four we arrived at Getnö camping. Just what we had been looking for. Near a lake, and quiet so we decided to stay.
While pitching the tent we discovered we had forgotten the pegs, but luckily they sold them in the camping store.
Dinner was Swedish Classic, sill o potatis, and some rose wine (not so classic).
In the evening we went to the camping ”pub” where they had a band playing Irish music ”my favourite poet is Shane McGowan from the Pogues”. We had a Småländsk öl and enjoyed the music.
When we walked home around 11 we watched a beautiful sunset over the lake.
